Step 1: Gather your tools
Before you begin, ensure you have everything you need. Here's a basic list of tools and materials:
- Your compact gazebo
- A level ground or surface
- Heavy-duty peg set or steel leg weights (for stability)
- A rubber mallet (for securing pegs)
- An extra pair of hands (helpful but not mandatory)
Step 2: Choose the right location
Select a level and clear area for your gazebo. To ensure a smooth setup, remove any sharp objects or debris that could potentially damage the gazebo fabric or frame. If you're setting up on grass, consider mowing the area beforehand.
Step 3: Setting up your Gazebo
- Unpack your travel bag: Take your canopy, ropes and gazebo out of the travel bag.
- Unzip your travel bag: Begin by unzipping the travel bag. Lay the bag on the ground and expose the gazebo's feet, then stand the bag upright.
- Slide off the bag off: Carefully slide the bag off, so you're left with the gazebo frame.
- Expand the frame: Gently expand the frame to approximately 5 feet in width.
- Raise the centre pole: Pull up the centre pole, ensuring it locks into place with an audible latch click.
- Place the canopy: Open up the canopy and drape it over the frame. Align the corners of the canopy with the corners of the frame, where both the canopy and frame come pre-attached with Velcro. Ensure the reinforced centre of the canopy is positioned over the centre pole of the frame.
- Extend the legs: Starting with the bottom ring, lift the leg and pull on the footplate, slide it down until it clicks into place. Repeat this for all four legs.
- Expand the frame further: Use the upper and lower crossbar connectors to expand the frame. Place your hands on either side of the connectors in the middle of the frame, push them together as you walk backward, and expand the frame.
- Extend the legs fully: Use the middle pull rings to lift each leg until you hear the pin click into place. Repeat this for all four legs.
- Lock the top pull ring: Stand under the canopy, facing a corner. Place both hands on the bottom crossbars, put your foot on the footplate, and push the crossbars up until the pull ring clicks into place. Repeat this process for all four corners.
- Secure the internal canopy straps: Inside the canopy, you'll find Velcro straps. Loop these straps over the crossbars to secure the canopy to the frame. Do this for all four sides. Then, adjust the leg heights as needed using the bottom pull rings.
With these steps, your compact gazebo is now set up and ready to provide shelter and shade for your outdoor activities. Enjoy your time in the great outdoors with ease and convenience! For more instructions on setting up your compact gazebo, check out the video here.
